Loveland Center’s mission is to help adults with developmental disabilities live their lives to the fullest. Loveland’s vision is to become a leading innovator in providing services to adults with developmental disabilities.
The Junior League includes women building better communities. The Junior League has been the driving force behind the kinds of initiatives and institutions that make our community healthier, more vital places to live. They’ll be helping you at packet pick-up and on race day. You Go Girl!
You’ll see over 100 SMA cadets race day. They’re raising money for their drumline and bag pipe band, and cadet raider squad to attend regional competitions. SMA helps develop the future leaders of our community and our country. And don’t miss the drumline and bag pipe band at mile 6 and 11.
Selby Gardens is a delightfully colorful attraction in our community. They’re opening their gates to runners for the first time as athletes cruise through the Gardens at mile ten. Great selfie opportunity.
Papillon – Riverview High School
The name is a metaphor– it refers to the club’s purpose – the transformation of young women as they take flight into the world inspired by personal growth and friendship.
The local FSU alumni chapter will raise money to sustain their organization. Go Seminoles!
Cookies, cookies, cookies – everyone loves a Girl Scout cookie. The Sarasota Music Half Marathon is America’s first race with a Girl Scout Cookie Aid Station™. The Girl Scouts help instill good values and provides positive role models for our children.
As an independent, college preparatory school, ODA provides an environment in which students strive to achieve their highest academic goals and to build character through a balanced program of academics, the arts, and athletics. The race welcomes the ODA Senior Class!

Child hunger is a major issue. The purpose of The Children’s Healthy Pantry (CHP) is to ensure that children at risk have additional food during the school day. In the 2013 – 2014 school year, The Children’s Healthy Pantry delivered 72,000 snacks and 36,000 bottles of water. Each of the eight (8) existing pantries received 1,000 snacks and 500 bottles of water delivered monthly. Our goal for 2014 – 2015 is to provide for these pantries and add at least two (2) more.
The Rotary Club of Sarasota Bay Foundation transforms your gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As the charitable arm of Sarasota Bay Rotary, we tap into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. SBRC Foundation grants empower Sarasota Bay Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact.
Brentwood Elementary School’s amazing teachers and administrators care deeply about their students and school. They are constantly working together to encourage empathy and integrity in its students and to improve upon best practices to benefit students, families and the community! Last year the funds raised from participating in the SMHM allowed them to purchase new playground equipment.
We provide personalized matches that enable 1-to-1 support among cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.
The Mark Wandall Foundation provides support and assistance to grieving children who have lost a family member or guardian. Through their partnerships with Comfort Zone Camp, Children First of Sarasota and our college scholarship program, they trust that they can transform a childs broken spirit into a beautiful spark that will light the way to a happy, healthy and optimistic future.
Canine Castaways, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer organization established in 2003. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in need, rehabilitating if necessary, and then adopting to approved homes where they will be loved as part of a family while also encouraging responsible pet care and striving to increase awareness of the consequences of pet overpopulation through educational programs and materials.
Since 1990, Mothers Helping Mothers, Inc., an all volunteer not-for-profit organization, has been providing basic necessities such as clothing and baby items free of charge to families in need. All items are donated or purchased through grant funding or private contributions and are provided free of charge to our clients. Additionally, we offer emotional support and referrals to other agencies in the surrounding area. Mothers Helping Mothers has no paid employees; we have run on the spirit and energy of a handful of volunteers for more than twenty five years!
