Nearly $72,000 has been raised for these organizations through the race over our first 3 years!

Tuttle Elementary School

Tuttle is using the Music Half to raise much need money towards a new school playground. Keep those little kiddies active and climbing!


Sarasota Military Academy

You’ll see over 100 SMA cadets race day. They’re raising money for their drumline and bag pipe band, rifle team, and cadet raider squad to attend regional competitions. SMA helps develop the future leaders of our community and our country.


Papillon – Riverview High School

The name is a metaphor– it refers to the club’s purpose – the transformation of young women as they take flight into the world inspired by personal growth and friendship.


Girl Scouts of Gulf Coast Florida

Cookies, cookies, cookies – everyone loves a Girl Scout cookie. The Sarasota Music Half Marathon is America’s first race with a Girl Scout Cookie Aid Station™. The Girl Scouts help instill good values and provides positive role models for our children.


Future Business Leaders of America

Rotary Club of Sarasota Bay

The Rotary Club of Sarasota Bay Foundation transforms your gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.  As the charitable arm of Sarasota Bay Rotary, we tap into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace.  SBRC Foundation grants empower Sarasota Bay Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact.

 Brentwood Elementary School

Brentwood Elementary School’s amazing teachers and administrators care deeply about their students and school. They are constantly working together to encourage empathy and integrity in its students and to improve upon best practices to benefit students, families and the community! Last year the funds raised from participating in the SMHM allowed them to purchase new playground equipment.


Mark Wandall Foundation

The Mark Wandall Foundation provides support and assistance to grieving children who have lost a family member or guardian. Through their partnerships with Comfort Zone Camp, Children First of Sarasota and our college scholarship program, they trust that they can transform a childs broken spirit into a beautiful spark that will light the way to a happy, healthy and optimistic future.


Mothers Helping Mothers

Since 1990, Mothers Helping Mothers, Inc., an all volunteer not-for-profit organization, has been providing basic necessities such as clothing and baby items free of charge to families in need. All items are donated or purchased through grant funding or private contributions and are provided free of charge to our clients. Additionally, we offer emotional support and referrals to other agencies in the surrounding area. Mothers Helping Mothers has no paid employees; we have run on the spirit and energy of a handful of volunteers for more than twenty five years!

Sarasota STORM

The Sarasota Storm Triathlon Club is a USAT official club, established in 2005 as the Sarasota Sharks Tri Club by a group of triathlon-loving friends who wanted to inspire other local athletes to join the multisport world. We’re open to current, former, and aspiring triathletes of all levels and abilities. Maybe you’re thinking about doing your first triathlon and want to meet some experienced people to help you get there safely and to have fun. Maybe you have a few races under your belt but want to swim, bike, and run with someone just a little bit faster. Maybe you’ve done multiple Ironmans and want to help the next generation of triathletes fall in love with our favorite sport. The Storm is the place for you!

Southeastern Guide Dogs

Southeastern guide dogs give people with vision loss the independence they need to live life to its fullest. Our service dogs give veterans with disabilities the help they need to emerge from seclusion and overcome anxiety, and serve veterans with challenges such as post-traumatic stress disorder, balance issues, seizures, and hearing loss. Our dogs also serve veterans as emotional support dogs, facility therapy dogs, and Gold Star Family dogs.

Nite Train Express

Climb aboard the Nite Train Express for a fun filled time where all adventures begin on a motorcycle and will end at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital or Oak Park School.  “Bikers laying tracks for a better tomorrow”. Our focus is primarily to have camaraderie, fun and excitement, while our goal is raising money and toys and classroom supplies  to be donated to the All Children’s Hospital of St. Petersburg Florida and Oak Park School in Sarasota Florida. We are all about the kids and raising awareness of childhood illnesses.
